THE FIRST STEP

Image
It is always difficult to take the first step. It takes courage and some inner strength to do that. But the first step is very important if not the most important in life's journey. Every long journey starts with just one step ( the first step). Never despise that step you have taken. Appreciate every small beginning. You may fail or fall in your business, career, relationship, marriage, spiritual life or whatever, you need to get up and take another first step. Get up and get backup. This is what a great boxer have to say, "The secret of winning is just to get up one time more than you get knocked down" Muhammad Ali. I want to take it higher, you get up and attempt one more time. Never get tired of taking another new step, because so long as you live you will never stop taking first steps. But your steps should not only stop at the first, take the second, the third and on, on you go. You must also know that, a start of a thing does not matter, it is the end

I AM SPECIAL

I was down one afternoon, after I performed miserably in one of the interviews during my job search era. Then a voice within me told me I am special. I pondered over the thought for some few minutes and I believed I am Unique. What…? I’ll tell you not all but some of the things that made my so. First my mom has seven children, three guys and four ladies. Then I know the number Seven represents Completeness or Perfection. We were all born on different days starting from Sunday to Saturday. The first born on Sunday, the first day of the week and the last born on Saturday, the last day of the week. Again the first born in January the first month in a year and the last born in December, the last month in a year. Then the sequence in which we came is also special. Our first born lady, Second guy, third lady, fourth guy, fifth lady, sixth guy and the last born lady. This is where it gets interesting. I am the fourth born that place me in the middle of this great family. I call myself “Th

IF YOU THINK . . .

If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don’t. If you like to win, but you think you can’t, it is almost certain you won’t. If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost. For out in the world we find Success begins with a fellow’s will – it’s all in the state of mind. If you think you are outclassed, you are. You’ve got to think high to rise. You’ve got to be sure of yourself and trust God, before you can ever win a prize. Life’s battle don’t always go to the stronger or faster man, But soon or late the man who wins is the man WHO THINKS HE CAN! YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS YOU. THE CELEBRATION PRINCIPLE SAYS THE TRUE TEST OF RELATIONSHIPS IS NOT HOW LOYAL WE ARE WHEN FRIENDS FAIL, BUT HOW THRILLED WE ARE WHEN THEY SUCCEED. IF WE CAN’T GET EXCITED ABOUT THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF OUR FRIENDS, WE HAD BETTER DO SOME SOUL – SEARCHING - JOHN C MAXWELL

WHO IS ARROGANT?

In Ghana, most People mistaken confidence most of the time as arrogance. Our culture makes it in a way that, we are raised timid as children. Our parents never allowed us to be heard. You can’t talk and do gestures with your hands. It is a big NO; your hands have to be at your back or sides. But when I was taking lessons in facilitation skills, I got to know that using gestures is the best way to communicate. It facilitates your expression, lay emphasis and in a way catches people’s attention. We see people being shy, timid and naive as respectful. We never allowed people to be themselves. Why? Think of this; There are people who cannot tell you the truth or rebuke you when you go wrong. Then these groups of people who can look you straight in the face and tell you, my brother or sister you are wrong. Who is being respectful? It has been proven that the most timid people are Africans. We cannot even look straight eyeball to eyeball with people. When you do that you are being disre
